For the past 20 years, Mike Bush has helped KSDK NewsChannel 5 become one of the top-rated stations in the country. Bush is the news anchor for the 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts, and produces and writes cover story reports. He moved to his current position in 2003 after more than 17 years in the sports department. As sports director, Bush was a 29-time Emmy Award winner and he created the highly-rated and Emmy-winning Sunday night Sports Plus show. In addition to his duties at KSDK, Bush was the TV voice of the Saint Louis University Basketball Billikens and did play-by-play work for NBC, FOX, ESPN and the St. Louis Cardinals. Bush provided the radio play-by-play of the St. Louis Rams during the 1999 season, culminating in an exciting Super Bowl championship. Prior to joining NewsChannel 5, Bush was sports director at KMBC-TV in Kansas City for two years. The Chicago native was a sports anchor/reporter for WVUE-TV in New Orleans and in 1978 began his career as a news reporter at KVOA-TV in Tucson, Ariz.
