FESTIVITIES KICK OFF SEPT. 4

WITH ARCH REVELRY ON THE LANDING

ST. LOUIS – Aug.18, 2009 – With less than three weeks to go until the orange & blue and black & gold descend on Downtown St. Louis, affordable tickets are still available for the 2009 State Farm Arch Rivalry football game. Illinois and Missouri kick off the college football season at the Edward Jones Dome at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5. Tickets can be purchased online at www.ticketmaster.com, by phone at 314-241-1888 or (toll-free) 800-745-3000, and at all Ticketmaster outlets. Tickets start at just $15 and fans can find great sideline seats in the terrace level for only $35. A $3 per ticket facility fee and Ticketmaster convenience charges will also apply. Please note that advanced tickets are not sold at the Edward Jones Dome box office.

Group discount packages for groups of 20 or more are also available and can be purchased by calling 314-345-5111. The St. Louis Sports Commission is also selling special VIP Packages, which include great lower level seats, pregame hospitality, parking and more. ARCH RIVALRY ACTIVITIES: The Arch Rivalry weekend in St. Louis kicks off with “Arch Revelry” from 5:30 p.m. to midnight on Laclede’s Landing. One of the area’s favorite night spots, Laclede’s Landing will be the place to be for Tiger and Illini fans on the eve of the season opener. Festivities feature live music, spirit squad appearances, a battle of the Missouri and Illinois pep bands, and much more.

GAMEDAY SCHEDULE: Here’s a rundown of the official activities taking place on Saturday, Sept. 5:

8 - 10 a.m.	Arch Rivalry Youth Clinic at the Edward Jones Dome
9 - 10:30 a.m.	Illinois vs. Missouri Riverboat Race on the Mighty Mississippi
10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.	Illinois Headquarter at Broadway & Convention Plaza
11 a.m. - kickoff	Mizzou Headquarters at 6th St. & Convention Plaza
11 a.m. - kickoff	Bud Light Tailgate Party in Baer Plaza and Convention Plaza
1 p.m.	Gates open to the public at the Edward Jones Dome
2:30 p.m.	Kickoff
Postgame	Big Muddy Blues Festival on Laclede's Landing (continues on Sunday from noon to 11 p.m.)

The State Farm Arch Rivalry is hosted by the St. Louis Convention & Visitors Commission and the St. Louis Sports Commission.
