"The young men returning to St. Louis compete at the highest level of college lacrosse in the country," said Mike Sennett, head coach at DeSmet Jesuit High School and former University of Notre Dame player, team captain and 1991 graduate. "Like others before them, this group of players is making a name for St. Louis as students, as athletes and as leaders."

Over 70 graduates of St. Louis area high schools have gone on to play for NCAA lacrosse programs at the Division I, II and III level.

"We’ve always had a great relationship with the lacrosse community in St. Louis," said Notre Dame head coach Kevin Corrigan. "To succeed at Notre Dame, young men have to perform on the lacrosse field, in the classrooms and as members of the student body. Young men from St. Louis come to Notre Dame with the academic background, the work ethic and the character it takes to contribute to our program and the university."

In just its second year, the St. Louis Fall Face-Off has become a nationally recognized collegiate lacrosse event. "We’re tremendously excited to be invited back to St. Louis again this year to play top-notch competition," said Corrigan. "It’s a great opportunity for people living in the Midwest to see lacrosse played at the highest level."

"Every program coming to town is nationally ranked," Sennett said. "Top to bottom, this is the strongest field of any tournament being played in the country this fall. No event like it has ever been held in the Midwest."

The St. Louis Fall Face-Off is sponsored by the St. Louis Sports Commission. Proceeds benefit the Commission’s St. Louis Sports Foundation / Sports for Kids program and initiatives to support youth lacrosse throughout the greater St. Louis area.
